Bull Worship in Ancient Egypt.

Worshiping the Bull was around from at least the 1st dynasty. The strong bull was associated with the Pharoah, who was sometimes referred to as the "stong bull of his mother." As far back as 3,100 BC, Pharoah's were depicted in the form of a bull. There were 3 main bulls worshiped in Egypt.

1. Apis Bull. Pictured to the right.

2. Buchis Bull. Pictured to the left.

3. Mnevis Bull.

These Egyptian Bulls were why Aaron chose to make a bull god (golden calf) for  the  Hebrews to worship. In Egypt, they were constantly subjected to the worship of Egyptian idols, gods and goddesses.

Exodus 20:2-4 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water (or) under the earth.

Joshua 6:18 And ye, in any wise keep yourselves from the accursed thing, lest ye make yourselves accursed, when ye take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it.

Muhammad was raised in the religion of the moon-god Allah. But he went one step further than his fellow pagan arabs. While they believed that Allah, i.e. the Moon-god was the greatest of all gods, and the supreme diety in a pantheon of dieties, Muhammad decided that Allah was not only the greatest god but the only god.
